Programme
Reconstruction of a gymnasium to provide a training facility for the 2024 Olympic Games. It will later be donated to the town as a legacy project.
The facility will include a multi-sports hall designed not just for top-level athletes but also for schools, local charities and non-profits (meetings for local residents) and resident clubs.
The project includes a 1,400-seat multi-purpose sports hall, as well as community facilities and changing rooms.
Technical characteristics
The mixed concrete/wood structure (concrete columns and glulam beams with an almost 28m span) provide a column-free space of around 1,200 m² and a fully-clear height of 7m.
The roof is fitted with photovoltaic panels (350 m²) and planted with vegetation.
Heating and domestic hot water production are provided by heat pumps which are enclosed so that they are invisible from the outside.
The multi-purpose hall has double-flow ventilation, with heating also provided by the air handling units (known as "all-air" heating).
Lighting in the hall can be adjusted from 300 to 1,200 lux for high-level practices (national level).
Environmental characteristics
High environmental quality (HQE) strategy.
2012 thermal regulations.
Level E3C1 of the E+C- label.
