Construction of ENSTA (National School of Advanced Technology) on Ecole Polytechnique Campus in Palaiseau.
Building including research laboratories, administrative services, library, classrooms, 400-seat lecture theatres, lobby and student cafeteria, etc. 431-unit university residence in 5 buildings together with two pavillons.
1,940 m² gymnasium with multi-purpose hall, weights room and climbing wall. Provision of 25-space car park.
Technical characteristics
Geothermal probe space heating system (75 probes 12,000m in total, 3x400kW heat pumps) to provide 80 % of annual heating requirement, with additional 1.50MW gas fuelled boiler.
Solar panels (500 m²) system back up during summer.
Installation of private 1250kVA transformer station, backed up with 300kVA power inverters and 500kVA power generator.
Laboratories supplied with special gases : nitrous oxide, argon, acetylene, etc.
